Six Newspapers Added to the Library's Database List
by Hongjie Wang, MLS
Head, Information and Education Services
The library recently added six major newspapers to its Database List. Each issue of every newspaper is indexed thoroughly from top news stories to obituaries and letters. The newspaper database is updated several times each day so researchers always have access to current information. To access these newspapers, go to http://library.uchc.edu/ and click on Databases. You can search by the name of each newspaper or do a Keyword search by typing in the word: "newspaper" to bring up all the six newspapers below.
a. Christian Science Monitor (starting from 09/30/1988)
b. Hartford Courant (starting from 01/01/1992)
c. Los Angeles Times (starting from 01/01/1995)
d. New York Times (01/01/1995)
e. Wall Street Journal (01/02/1984)
f. Washington Post (01/01/1987)
These newspapers are part of the iCONN digital library sponsored by the Connecticut State Library. If you have any questions, please contact the Library’s Reference Desk at 679-2942.
