New E-Journal A-Z List
To help you find full text in our growing list of e-journals, we have launched a new A-Z e-journal list (<http://sfx7.exlibrisgroup.com/uchc/az>) This new list is created and maintained with the help of SFX software currently used by many academic libraries. It replaces the Library’s previous e-journal list. You’ll find it in the grey bar on the left of the library’s website.
One benefit of this new e-journal list is that we can add many titles at once rather than one by one. You now have access to more than 20,000 titles including most of the titles from the Storrs’ Babbidge Library. The previous list allowed access to only 4,223 titles. The data we add can also be used for other purposes, e.g., Citation Linking and linking to full text from the databases. Watch this news page for updates about using all these new features.
Please note: If you use a browser other than Firefox, you will need to enable cookies. Details about doing that are included here:
http://library.uchc.edu/resources/setbrowser.html
SFX A-Z list navigation provides better alphabetic links, which allow users to "jump" to specific subsections of the list - please try the tabs "Category" or "Locate". The subsections lets you drill down easily to the exact information you are seeking. Patrons can also search the list for journal titles via an improved multiple-word phrase search. Here is the instruction on methods of finding E-journals.
The old list is still at <http://libdatabase.uchc.edu/ejournals/ejournals.asp>. It will not be taken down but no new update will be provided.
