McGrawHill Access Suite of online resources has moved to a new redesigned platform
McGrawHill Access Suite of online resources has moved to a new redesigned platform as of 8 January 2014.
This new platform includes the following resources:
• Access Anesthesiology
• OMMBID : Online Metabolic and Molecular Bases of Inherited Disease
New features of the platform:
The new platform requires users to first register for a personal account while on campus. This personal account login may then be used from anywhere, from any device, without logging into the libraries proxy server. Please go to: http://mhmedical.com/index.aspx to create your “My Access” account.
Creating a My Access account provides opportunities for greater personalization:
• Remote access to the sites, no extra logins or VPNs required
• Print full chapters & save images
• Set up alerts for search terms
• Access Care Plans on AccessPharmacy
All sites are optimized for mobile use via responsive design. Responsive Web design (RWD) is a Web design approach aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from mobile phones to desktop computer monitors.)
The new redesign is compatible with the following web browsers :
• Internet Explorer versions 8 and above
• Chrome versions 31 and above
• Firefox versions 25 and above
• Safari versions 5 and above.
The sites are also compatible with the default browser on Android devices (such as the Kindle Fire) and iOS devices (such as the iPad).
Please be sure to fill out a problem report if you are having any troubles with access on the new platform: http://library.uchc.edu/comments/problemrpt.html
Please call the Reference Desk at x2942 or Arta Dobbs, Collection Management Librarian at x2432
